Studio 11 A

Suzanne (Suzy) Stack straddles the line between representational and abstract painting, enjoying both. Complexity and sensuous line  fascinate her. She has always painted but turned to art full time after a long career in transportation safety.  She works mainly in water-based media: watercolor, gouache, and acrylics and has studied painting and drawing at the Corcoran College of Art & Design, The Washington Studio School, the Yellow Barn at Glen Echo, and Georgetown University.  Corcoran instructors Mira Hecht and Ellen Zelano have influenced her work as well as the Yellow Barn's Bonny Lundy.  Suzanne's work is in private collections and has been exhibited at the Watergate Gallery, P Street Gallery, Bethesda’s Writers’ Center, Yellow Barn Gallery, the House of Sweden, and at Jackson Art Center
