Trevor Young: Painters Influencing Painters

  • 3050 R St, NW Washington, DC 20007 USA (map)

The creative process is as individualistic as the artist who makes it. However, the influence of one artist on another cannot be denied. On April 6, artist Trevor Young discusses the artists, both past and present, who inspire him. In this talk, he shares how his love of painting and other artists drives him to find the energy to continuously work. He will also discuss his influences on his upcoming solo show at Addison/Ripley Fine Art, opening March 2025

Educated at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, Young is represented by Addison/Ripley Fine Art, Washington, DC, and George Billis Gallery, New York, NY. He has exhibited in galleries and art fairs, including the Armory Show and Art Miami with David Klein Gallery, and Scope with Civilian Art Projects. He is part of private and public collections, including the Washington DC Convention Center, the Robert Lehrmen Collection, and the Luciano Benetton Collection.
